#Lexigraph wins inaugural STV Digital Spark Award

I’m absolutely delighted to report that my pitch for #Lexigraph won the inaugural STV Digital Spark award at the Dundee Literary Festival on Saturday. Thanks you to all at STV for running the award, but especially to Catriona McPhee for her organisational & compere skills. Thanks to the four judges — Chris van der Kuyl, Clare Brennan, Bill Herbert, David Milne — for their kind comments (& votes), and to everyone in the audience/ voting online for championing the project.

The upshot is that I’m now able to take the project on to fruition, so in several months time there will be an actual functioning version of Lexigraph for you all to play with. Thanks again to everyone on Twitter who sent in images of words (we collected nearly a thousand in 10 days, that’s pretty impressive), sent me suggestions and feedback on the project design, and generally acted as warm-hearted & supportive cheerleaders: it gave me a huge confidence boost that so many of you found the process as addictive as I did, and that you took the time to help me out.
