Jemma and I had a lot of fun (& surprisingly few technological mishaps) live broadcasting our writers tour of literary Edinburgh this morning as part of the Digital Writers Festival ’20 Minute Cities’ strand. For those of you weren’t able to follow the live stream, the recording has been Youtube’d with immediate efficiency thanks to Connor & the #dwf15 team. The lovely folk at Edinburgh City of Literature were supporting us during the live broadcast by adding in the background info on Twitter of the places we were passing, the historical and contemporary events we were chatting about and the writers we met along the way.
It was lovely to have the opportunity to share our love of the Edinburgh writing scene with an international audience and this evening we’ll be reprising our steps and recapping the tour for a more local audience, talking to roving reporter George Ward from the Fountainbridge show on STV Edinburgh. The show goes out live 7-8.30pm on Freeview channel 23, Sky 117, Virgin 159 and on the STV Player.
