I’ll be back on STV Edinburgh’s Fountainbridge show tonight (7-8pm), celebrating World Book Day with debut novelist Jane Alexander.
World Book Day is a chance to show your love and appreciation for reading and for all things bookish. I’d encourage you to find a writer and give them a cup of tea and cake: a bit like leaving a glass of sherry and biscuits out for Santa. Actually, scratch that; give a writer a glass of sherry…
We’ll be filming live from the streets of Edinburgh at about 19:13 tonight, and you can catch the show at your leisure over the next week (internationally) via the STV player.
As a heads up, Jane Alexander and I will be chatting about one of our favourite Edinburgh authors, Robert Louis Stevenson, and she’ll also be reading a (very) short extract from her debut novel, The Last Treasure Hunt, which is being published by Scottish Indies Sarabande Books at the end of this month. If you’d like to hear more of the novel, Jane will also be reading at her Edinburgh, Glasgow and London launches, full details on her website.
